Getting some tint tomorrow, pretty dark , thought I'd take some before photos so I can compare later.

Nice forester! Is it auto? (We have a 2010)

2006 Forester XT Limited, 5 Speed manual!

I don't understand how people can drive a ca with untinted windows. I have 15% on my BMW and the front of my Montero is untinted - and drives me nuts.

I live in MN, where it's fairly temperate this time of the year, and my car gets too hot driving around and when parked. I'm getting 5% on the backs and I'm not decided on the front two. None on the sunroof because I like stargazing.

South Dakota resident here - we have snow for tomorrow but we aren't far off from our crazy 100 degree cloudless day season. I've honestly thought the summer was more brutal here than the Middle East just because there's no cloud relief out my way.

If any car needs tints it's the forester. It feels like your in a glass bubble, not a bad feeling and you get amazing visibility, but no privacy.

I dig the wheels!

That's the main problem is no cargo privacy.

Stock with plastidip haha! I bought it that way, can't be bothered to fix it! Next on the list are some LM reps.

My sf didn't have a cargo cover but my saabaru does. Everything is out in the open in the forester. I never kept anything of value in there, actually I tried to limit my time in a store if I had bought anything and was visiting multiple stores. Good idea though.

I have no cargo cover and new ones cost way too much haha.

Exactly why I didn't bother getting one either. Totally jealous of your xt though, the only downsides on my sf was power and wind noise.

I got wind noise, but not too bad. And thanks!

I'm 130% envious

Regarding your title, do you work for the Department of Redundancy Department?

Check your window gussets, it helped a lot after changing them and putting 5/16 ( I think) tubing between my door's window frame.

It's illegal to go darker than 50% on the 2 front doors and 35% around the back where I live.

Of course I do not work for them, I do not work for such a department.

Yeah that's where it's all coming from. Will do, thank you!

Ohio was the same way (where I moved from) but I never had any issue. I have out-of-state plates now so they don't even ask. I don't even know what the limits are here. In Ohio it was a secondary offense - if you didn't give them a real reason to pull you over it was a nonissue. Plus the ticket was $180 (I think) with proof of tint removal and $30 more without proof.

Here in Canada they can just pull you over for tint. Think the ticket is $200+. I think I'm gonna go legal with tint. Not a fan of trying to see out of super tinted windows at night.

Delicious. Also, if one gets a Forester that panoramic sun roof is such a must. It's vast.
![]() 04/12/2014 at 23:15 |

That's the first thing people say when they get in haha, "The sun roof is huge!"

that is a considerable amount of envy

It's a perfect option for people who are actually going out and exploring in these things.

If it was STI swapped I would be 213% envious

Star gazing is good through it, this thing loves snow and driving through big grassy fields. That's about as far off the beaten path I've gone. But I live in the great plains so that would explain it.

I've put limo tint on all 3 of the Outbacks my wife has owned. I do the rear window, the cargo windows and the rear passenger doors. Pennsylvania is a little touchy concerning tint on the front windows.
